This flooring is produced from wood which has been reclaimed from older buildings that have been dismantled. The flooring produced from this resource provides a unique patina and character that only years of use can provide. The lumber and timbers reclaimed to make antique flooring are not readily found and cannot be duplicated in today’s forest. The slower growth patterns of wood reclaimed from prior use adds to its distinctive look. Antique flooring is offered in rustic and distressed grades, with the distressed grade having more character markings and color variation. Each of these products displays a distinctive grain or color that can transform any room from being ordinary to being extraordinary. These flooring products offer something different from standard domestic flooring products. It may be the refined grain and bold figure of quartersawn oak, or the elegant grain and color of walnut or cherry. Highly figured woods such as curly maple, birdseye maple, and flame birch are offered as well. All these woods will truly provide you with a one of a kind floor.

Ridgeview Hardwoods offers a wide variety of foreign woods from all parts of the world including brazillian oak, walnut & cherry floors. These woods offer grain patterns and coloring not found in our domestic species. Most all of the exotic flooring offered is extremely hard and more durable than most domestic species. We only offer exotic flooring that is milled from trees harvested from managed forests. Take a look at our exotic offerings; we think you will find a wood floor that will satisfy your own unique tastes.
Ridgeview Hardwoods offers prefinished hardwood flooring in a variety of domestic and exotic woods. All are milled with a minimal micro-bevel and finished with a 7-coat, aluminum oxide scratch resistant surface. Domestic products come with a 10 year manufacture’s warranty, while the exotic products are warranted for 20 years. These warranties are applicable in non-commercial installations only. Ridgeview Hardwoods can have other exotic woods pre-finished. Pricing and lead time will vary upon type of wood, flooring width and length, and size of order.
